Available for pre-order beginning September 13 and in stores beginning September 20 the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are described in their own words as "the most powerful and advanced smartphones we have ever made." Pretty significant words, but do these new iPhones live up to this description?

Undoubtedly, what stands out first in this new iPhone is the first triple-camera system introducing all-new Ultra Wide, Wide and Telephoto cameras. The Ultra Wide camera essentially captures four times more scene, and is optimized for taking landscape or architecture photos and tight shots. The telephoto camera features a larger ƒ/2.0 aperture for capturing 40 percent more light compared to iPhone Xs.

Indoor and outdoor low-light environments receive a brighter boost with the new Wide sensor which enables Night mode, "resulting in brighter images with natural colors and reduced noise." Portrait mode introduces wide and telephoto framing, enabling a wider field of view, especially for taking portraits of multiple people.

Machine learning is an integral part of the new iPhone Pro 11 and iPhone11 Pro Max phones. For example, the next-generation Smart HDR "recognize subjects in the frame and intelligently relight them for more natural-looking images with greater detail."

Another standout machine learning example is Deep Fusion a new image processing system driven by the Neural Engine of A13 Bionic. Deep Fusion essentially "uses advanced machine learning to do pixel-by-pixel processing of photos, optimizing for texture, details and noise in every part of the photo."

The new TrueDepth camera consists of a new 12MP camera with the ability to capture selfies using a wider field of view, and natural-looking photos are achieved with the next-generation Smart HDR.

Video has also been greatly enhanced with the affirmation that the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max produce "the highest quality video ever in a smartphone." Each camera in the triple-camera system records superior 4K video with extended dynamic range and cinematic video stabilization.

The Ultra Wide camera with its wider field of view and large focal plane, is particularly beneficial for recording action videos. Audio Zoom, another video feature, "matches the audio to the video framing for more dynamic sound." With iOS 13, powerful video editing tools used to rotate, crop, increase exposure and apply filters to videos instantly are available to novice and experienced producers.

Now to the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone11 Pro Max design considerations, which are obviously outstanding including a matte glass back and polished stainless steel band. "The toughest glass ever in a smartphone"can be found in the iPhone Pro phones. Water resistance is rated IP68- up to 4 meters for a duration of 30 minutes. The phones are available in new midnight green, space gray, silver and gold finishes.

The new Super Retina XDR display, which features a custom-designed OLED,

"provides users an immersive HDR viewing experience for movies and other high-definition video with up to 1,200 nits brightness. Super Retina XDR features wide color support with system-wide color management and True Tone to offer a more natural viewing experience."

Haptic Touch is another design integrated feature specifically allows customers to interact with their apps quickly- app shortcuts available right on the home screen.

What drives the iPhone Pro phones is the A13 Bionic, touted as "the fastest chip ever in a smartphone." The A13 Bionic chip powerful influence is twofold with a faster Neural Engine "for real-time photo and video analysis, and new Machine Learning Accelerators that allow the CPU to deliver more than 1 trillion operations per second."

Battery life has been increased in the iPhone Pro by four more hours of battery life in a day than the iPhone XS and in the iPhone Pro Max up to five hours more than iPhone XS Max.

In summary the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone11 Pro Max superlatives include a triple-camera system, A13 bionic chip and iOS 13 extended battery life and a tough and sleek phone body design starting at $999 and $1,099, respectively. "Customers can also get iPhone 11 Pro for $24.95 a month5 or $599 with trade-in6 and iPhone 11 Pro Max for $29.12 a month or $699 with trade-in from apple.com, in the Apple Store app and Apple Stores."
